Learning and Development Manager - Insurance - City - upto £100,000 (12 month FTC)

Wise May are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join this International Insurance business in the heart of the City. A real opportunity to bring best practice idea’s and strategies to life.

Joining the HR Team, to be the main point of contact in the coordination and support of the Learning and Development initiatives currently being rolled out in London. Role will have one direct report (Senior L & D Coordinator).

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to design and development and maintenance of L&D policy and initiatives

- Conduct research and develop ideas for L&D

- Manage the annual L&D curriculum (including administration, planning, scheduling & execution of events both internally and externally)

- Produce reports, presentations and articles- Prepare training and marketing materials to promote L&D and recruitment activities - Evaluation of all L&D activities and propose improvements where possible

- Provide HR/ line managers with training needs analysis from review forms and performance

Management system

- Maintenance of training records and provision of management information

- Maintaining and updating information on relevant pages on Intranet

- Overall management of L&D Team Email Account

- Management development and succession planning activities

- Maintain awareness of developments externally in relation to L&D

Experience/ Skills Required:

- Experience within L&D - Excellent attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-A collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships

- The ability to think creatively and problem solve

- Organised and a systematic approach to work- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, departments and all levels of staff
