Senior CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer required by a multi-disc construction consultancy to plan, manage, monitor and co-ordinate Health and Safety in pre-construction phases of projects; including identifying, eliminating or controlling foreseeable risks and ensuring designers carry out their duties.
You will work with a team of CDM Consultants across a range of sectors including commercial, leisure, retail and residential plus blue-chip clients.Projects will range from small alterations and fit outs, either in isolation or as part of a large-scale framework, to large refurbishments and new build projects. Projects will typically be within London and the Southeast, but sometimes further afield.
This is a hybrid role, working from the London office, home and attending site visits.
Role
-You will be able to work independently, using your own initiative, following client and inhouse procedures.
-Undertaking the role of CDM Principal Designer / Client Adviser from project start to finish.
-ProvidingCDM advice and support to Client Teams, advising clearly of their Duties, developing bespoke policies, procedures and documentation.
-Attending and co-ordinating Design and Project Meetings as required throughout projects.
-Visiting project sites.
-Preparing, co-ordinating and distributing relevant Health & Safety Information to other design and project team members.
-Reviewing Construction Phase Plans.
-Overseeing preparation and production of Pre-Construction Information.
-Collaborating with and supporting team members.
Qualifications
-IMaPS Member of APS (or close to achieving this)
-NEBOSH construction or other vocational related qualifications are required.
Experience
-Minimum of 5 years experience in undertaking the role of Principal Designer under CDM, ideally from a consultancy background.
-Experience in CDM 2015 and Construction Health and Safety.
