Goods-In Operative vacancy (Immediate Start)
  • Location: Enfield
  • Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
  • Pay Rate: Ā£14/hr

We are seeking a dedicated Goods-In Operative to take responsibility for accurately receiving, checking, booking-in, and storing all deliveries. This role requires the use of an electronic WMS system to ensure stock is processed correctly and efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Ensure the accuracy of goods received matches the paperwork.
  • Distribute delivered items to the correct personnel or areas within the warehouse.
  • Correctly label received stock with ā€œBest Beforeā€ dates.
  • Load and unload vehicles as required.
  • Store and locate pallets correctly within the warehouse.
  • Focus on ā€œuse-by datesā€ and store stock accordingly.
  • Process deliveries in a timely manner, ensuring all paperwork is processed quickly and passed to the relevant department.
  • Assist with other general warehouse duties as requested.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a counterbalance and reach forklift licence (essential)
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and computing skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly check goods against delivery paperwork.
  • Experience with handheld scanners is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ā€œOrderwiseā€ or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and on a flexible basis.
  • Ability to think quickly, use initiative, and cope well under pressure.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Good level of fitness as some heavy lifting is required.
Working Conditions:
  • Monday - Friday (08:00am - 04:00pm)
  • This role is based in a warehouse environment, requiring both physical activity and time spent at a desk and computer.
