The RoleAs a Multi-Trade Operative with a specialism in plumbing, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the accommodation sites are kept in excellent condition. You will carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks with a particular focus on plumbing, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and with minimal disruption to residents.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical work.
- Address and resolve plumbing-related issues such as leaks, blockages, and repairs to fixtures and fittings.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs across the accommodation sites.
- Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests from residents or staff.
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure all works are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and materials used.
- Collaborate with the wider facilities team to deliver excellent customer service to residents.
We are looking for a versatile and experienced operative with a strong plumbing background who is committed to maintaining high-quality living spaces. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a multi-trade operative, with a strong emphasis on plumbing.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing or a related qualification (essential).
- Practical skills and experience in other maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, painting, and basic electrics.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and colleagues.
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks and respond to emergencies when needed.
