Hyperion Partners are pleased to be working with a leading Student Accommodation Provider to recruit a talented and experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a Plumbing Bias. The Role

As a Multi-Trade Operative with a specialism in plumbing, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the accommodation sites are kept in excellent condition. You will carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks with a particular focus on plumbing, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and with minimal disruption to residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical work.
  • Address and resolve plumbing-related issues such as leaks, blockages, and repairs to fixtures and fittings.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs across the accommodation sites.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests from residents or staff.
  • Conduct routine property inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Ensure all works are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and materials used.
  • Collaborate with the wider facilities team to deliver excellent customer service to residents.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a versatile and experienced operative with a strong plumbing background who is committed to maintaining high-quality living spaces. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a multi-trade operative, with a strong emphasis on plumbing.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing or a related qualification (essential).
  • Practical skills and experience in other maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, painting, and basic electrics.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and colleagues.
