LOCATION: Home-based / London

The successful candidate must be able to commute to Central London within 1 hour from their home. The majority of client work will be in or around London. The successful candidate should be able to travel to client sites in this region as needed.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Consultant with experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments, ideally within a consultancy environment and experience across multiple sectors (education, healthcare, commercial) and various water system types (evaporative cooling, hot and cold water systems, spas, hot tubs, swimming pools).

Working as the Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Consultant you will undertake Legionella Risk Assessments and provide consultancy services to a wide range of industries predominately around the London area.

As the Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Consultant you’ll play a critical role in ensuring water safety across various sectors while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent results.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Consultant will include:

  • Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019
  • Compiling schematic drawings as well as producing final documents for clients/customers
  • Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction, and management of risk
  • Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports
  • Work effectively with the Planning Team who schedules work

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Experience across multiple sectors (e.g., education, healthcare, commercial) and various water system types (e.g., evaporative cooling, hot and cold water systems, spas, hot tubs, swimming pools)
  • Approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc)
  • Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM 04-01, and other relevant guidance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
  • Fluent in verbal and written English, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to travel (including overnight stays in the UK)
