PHP/WordPress Web Developer
Hybrid Working in London - 2-3 Days on-site per week
55k - 80k DOE + Benefits + Bonus

Deerfoot Recruitment is assisting a leading organisation in their search for an Intermediate Web Developer to join their highly skilled and collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the best developers in London, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of corporate and information service websites.
This role offers the chance to work in a creative and autonomous environment, where you'll collaborate closely with marketing and design teams to deliver exceptional web experiences. If you're passionate about writing clean, secure, and well-tested code, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and develop new features for corporate and information service websites.
- Collaborate with designers to create responsive, accessible web applications with outstanding usability.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality code.
- Optimise website performance, improve SEO, and support multi-region functionality.
- Develop user-friendly Content Management Systems (CMS) for distributed authors.
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years' experience in JavaScript development (vanilla or frameworks like React, Angular, Vue).
- At least 3 years' experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PHP
- Experience with content management systems (ideally WordPress).
- Familiarity with design patterns, PHP inheritance, and related technologies (e.g., Sass/Less, AJAX, JSON).
- Experience with Git version control.
- Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Gutenberg Blocks, Node task runners, TDD environments, or working in Agile teams is a plus.
