Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Plumber to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial buildings, as well as handling small reactive maintenance tasks. This role requires a professional with experience in both installation and reactive work in commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
*Installation: Perform installation of plumbing systems in commercial properties, including but not limited to piping, fixtures, water systems, and drainage systems.
*Reactive Maintenance: Respond to and resolve small plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, and minor repairs, in a timely manner.
*System Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular inspections and tests of plumbing systems to ensure they meet building codes, safety standards, and functionality.
*Troubleshooting: Diagnose plumbing issues quickly and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime for clients.
*Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople (electricians, HVAC technicians, etc.) on large projects to ensure efficient workflow.
*Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local building regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
*Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any further recommendations for system improvements or maintenance.
Qualifications:
*NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent certification
*CSCS card
*Driver's license
*Minimum of 4 years' experience in both installation and maintenance (not including apprenticeship)
*Be willing to get a DBS check
Skills:
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to troubleshoot and solve plumbing issues quickly and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks
Willingness to work in various commercial environments, including construction sites, offices, and industrial settings.
