The company is committed to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality solutions to its clients.Your new roleYour new role as a Design Engineer will involve developing creative solutions to design challenges, ensuring that project milestones are met, and the design brief is followed closely. You will be responsible for creating innovative, cost-effective design solutions, liaising with clients and managers, and contributing to the development of new and existing designs. Your role will also include effective project management, sourcing components, maintaining commercial awareness, producing documentation, and collaborating with electrical engineers, project managers, and wider teams. You will attend regular project design meetings and comply with all ISO Quality & Environmental policies and procedures. What you'll need to succeedWhat you'll need to succeed is a Mechanical Engineering degree or related qualification, with a minimum of three years' experience in a design role, ideally in an industrial automation environment. You should have the ability to create CAD drawings with good geometric dimensioning and tolerance strategy, and experience with SolidWorks. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team are essential. Desirable skills include awareness of industrial automation equipment, working knowledge of pneumatics, ISO Machinery Directives & H&S Standards, and engineering materials.
