Position Details

  • Type: Temporary, Ongoing
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
  • Location: Derry
  • Salary: £11.67 per hour

As a Higher Clerical Officer, you will be the backbone of our administrative operations. Here's what you can expect:

  • Be the First Point of Contact: Provide warm and welcoming reception duties for our service users.
  • Organised: Schedule diary dates, arrange travel, and coordinate hospitality.
  • Minute-Taking: Capture important discussions during meetings and keep everyone on track.
  • File Management: Maintain an efficient filing system and handle routine administrative tasks.
  • Communication: Liaise with staff, departments, and external agencies to facilitate seamless communication.
  • Call Handling: Manage incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Document: Type letters, memorandums, and minutes with precision.
  • Presentation: Assist in creating engaging PowerPoint presentations.
  • Stock Management: Keep stationary stock levels in check and operate a petty cash system effortlessly.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including English Language
  • At least 1 year of administrative/clerical experience, especially with cash handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • A proficiency for working independently while managing your time effectively.
