Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support this school in a temporary or part time capacity. You will be fostering a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of each child.
- Provide individual support to children, particularly those requiring special education assistance.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Help maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all students, focusing on toddler care and development.
- Observe and document children's progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher on individual achievements and areas for improvement.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education and child care.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs or autism is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for educating young learners and supporting their developmental needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with diverse groups of children.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child care are advantageous but not mandatory.
