The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity for a technician with previous sealant experience to join a well knitted team completing sealant and window installation to trains. 

Location:

Long Marston

Shifts:

Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm

Role and Responsibilities
You will be completing sanding and priming to trains, as well as installing windows; ensuring they’re ready to have repairs and installations completed. Completing sealant installation to interior and exterior of rail vehicles.

Other tasks include:

• Sanding the vehicles.
• Prepping exterior of rail vehicles.
• Interior sealants to windows.
• Exterior sealants to windows.
• Ensure maintenance on trains is completed, where needed.
• Fitting windows. 

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working on mechanical and/or electrical components. A full UK driving licence is essential. You will need to be flexible and happy to work shifts including weekends. You will need to be able to complete basic fault finding, complete maintenance and general repairs to engines.

Essential

• Previous window fitting with an engineering background.
• Relevant experience in completing sanding, and prepping to vehicles.
• Knowledge & experience in of window installation.
• Able to use sealant to ensure interior and exterior components are correctly installed.
• Flexible, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
