Job Opportunity: Site Manager – Regional Civil Engineering Contractor
Location: Central Scotland

Our client, a well-established regional civil engineering contractor, is looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced Site Manager on a permanent basis. This role involves managing site teams across a variety of civil infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on groundworks for commercial and residential developments.

About the Role:

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of infrastructure schemes across Central Scotland. Projects range from smaller public realm improvements to large-scale housing developments, schools, and community facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Manage contracts to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery in line with client requirements
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships on and off site
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all site operations are conducted in line with the company’s safety procedures
  • Auditing: Carry out safety audits as directed by line management
  • HSEQ Management: Take responsibility for Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards on site

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager or General Foreman within the civil engineering sector, particularly in the delivery of groundworks projects
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in kerbing, drainage, and hard landscaping is essential
  • Health & Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Certification: Valid CSCS card
  • Licence: Full UK driving licence
