Location: Sevenoaks
Pay: £88 - £110 per day (via PAYE)

Vision for Education is a leading education recruitment agency that works closely with primary, secondary and SEN schools across Kent. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school team in Sevenoaks. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in assessing and documenting children’s progress, fostering a learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of their ability
  • Assist the class Teacher in creating a tailored, engaging learning experience for each child
  • Foster a safe, positive and stimulating classroom setting and create learning resources to support children, based on their individual needs and interests
  • Work alongside the Teacher and other Teaching Assistants to implement personalised and provision plans, providing tailored support to children on a 1:1 or group basis

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEN children or young people, ideally in an education setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
