We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join a successful SEN school in Longfield. The Headteacher is looking for a candidate who can make a significant impact on their students’ education by creating a fun and engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of good and outstanding of behaviour management practices, confident in their abilities, and able to deliver effective communication with a positive approach.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to support students with special educational needs.
  • Build positive relationships with children, fostering an environment of trust and empathy.
  • Contribute to creating a kind, caring, and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young adults is essential.
  • Prior experience with SEN and/or physical disabilities is advantageous but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a willingness to build relationships with children.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Emotional resilience.
