We are a day special school catering to pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Our school community includes approximately 164 pupils aged between 5 and 16, each with unique needs ranging from communication and interaction challenges to behavioural, social, and mental health needs. We are committed to providing a broad, balanced, inclusive, and learner-focused curriculum that nurtures lifelong independent learners.We are looking for an SEN Tutor, to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be tutoring low ability maths and English to Year 10 and year 11 students and have a proven track record of success and the ability to secure the best outcomes for all students.

Day to Day of the Role:• Delivering tailored educational experiences to pupils with SEMH needs.• Creating a nurturing classroom environment that fosters care, respect, and success.• Implementing a broad and balanced curriculum that is inclusive and learner-focused.• Working closely with staff to support the development of pupils as independent learners.• Engaging with pupils to understand their individual needs and adapting teaching methods accordingly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:• Experience as an outstanding classroom practitioner.• A proven track record of achieving excellent outcomes for students.• A commitment to improving the life chances of young people from all backgrounds.• A patient approach and a good sense of humour.• Strong understanding of the needs of pupils with SEMH.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
