Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and ensure exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, a solid understanding of pub operations, food safety and preparation. This role requires a hands-on approach to bartending, supervising and developing staff, and maintaining the overall quality of our pub offerings.

Duties

• Have fun and love what you do!
• Manage the bar operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Ensure budgeted GP's and labour costs are tightly controlled.
• Supervise and train bar staff in bartending techniques and fantastic customer service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
• Develop cocktail menus and maintain high standards for drink presentation.
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional development.
• Maintain an organised bar area that reflects the establishment's brand and atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bartending or bar management within a pub, restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong product knowledge of beers, wines and spirits.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
