Senior Estimator

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join an established main contractor in Preston. The business has been established for over a century and is privately owned, undertaking a diverse project portfolio including education, healthcare, commercial and residential valuing up to £10mil. Projects are predominantly competitively tendered and are usually single stage.

About the role of Senior Estimator:

As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for undertaking tenders independently, reporting into the Managing Director. You will also be involved in mentoring junior members of staff that join a business, building the team.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Estimator:

  • Independently tender projects valuing up to £10m.
  • Work collaboratively with Surveying and Operational teams to produce competitive tenders
  • Report into the Managing Director
  • Be responsible for the mentoring of more junior members of staff

Requirements for this Senior Estimator role:

  • HNC / Degree qualified
  • Be able to price from first principles
  • Have at least 5 years experience within an estimating role
  • Happy to travel to office / site when required.
