We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our clients team at their residential family centre. This is a unique opportunity to combine direct work with families (primarily mothers and newborns) with management responsibilities.
What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of parenting capacity, using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Build strong relationships with families to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Develop and implement direct work plans to support family progress.
  • Supervise a small team and provide ongoing support.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Who You Are:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding children.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to see the potential in people and work with a trauma-informed approach.
  • Team player with a sense of humor.
  • Confident in having difficult conversations.
  • Proficient in IT skills and adaptable to new systems.
  • Understanding of babies and child development.
  • Commitment to working in line with regulations and National Minimum Standards.
