Class 1 ADR Driver

Salary: 32,052 per annum, this salary will also come with a regional allowance which will equate to 2,000 so 34,052 overall

Due to vetting and BPSS checks, if you are successful in your interview and assessment your start date will typically be around 8-12 weeks from your offer date.

Manpower is recruiting for Class 1 ADR Drivers based in Longtown for one of our well-established clients. Our client has over 80,000 employees across 1,300 locations in over 100 countries and is one of the world's leading logistics companies.

Shifts

Typically, your working week will be Monday to Friday however working hours are not set due to the nature of the role so flexibility is key. You may be expected to work overtime, weekend and possibly nights out.


Duties

  • Responsible for all delivery, collection and returns procedures, you will be complying with all relevant legislation and agreed procedures to ensure a safe and legal working environment and consistent quality standards
  • Responsible for the security of the vehicle & load at all times, reporting vehicle defects and ensure that the defect is documented.
  • Comply with Driver's regulations & Working Time Directive in line with the O License legalisation and Company procedures
  • Ensure all documentation is completed as per company procedure
  • In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training is provided

Requirements

  • Category C+E licence
  • Desirable ADR Class 1-9 including 7x awareness Less 7 but not required.
  • Present Tachograph card for downloading on a weekly basis.
  • Drivers must provide proof of up-to-date CPC
  • Criminal Record Check - Basic Disclosure
  • Proof of Right To Work - Passport / Birth Certificate etc.
  • Identity Document - Driving Licence / Passport.
  • 3 years referencing - Confirmation of past 3 years employment (minimum) history / activity.
  • Basic numeracy and conversational English language
