Our client, a leader in the aerospace and defence sector, is seeking a Aircraft/Ground Support Technician - AGE Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. This role is situated at RAF Lossiemouth and focuses on the management and oversight of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and Typhoon Maintenance Equipment Calibration (TMEC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide statistical information on Mission Critical AGE and TME asset availability
- Maintain, arrange, and call forward TyTAN specific items requiring routine calibration/maintenance using JAMES
- Investigate and manage on-base repairs to AGE and TMEC equipment via the Resolve process
- Perform daily customer oversight checks to ensure the accuracy of MJDI and F731 documentation
- Liaise with the wider Physical Logistics teams to ensure necessary Piece Part Spares are demanded and escalated
- Maintain oversight on agreed AGE/TMEC loan items
- Coordinate with On Base Physical Logistics teams for proficient equipment movement
- Support the acceptance of AGE/TMEC equipment into service at RAF Lossiemouth
- Ensure all AGE/TMEC taskings are printed, allocated, and delivered to customers within specified timescales
- Utilise the Joint Transport Movements Request Database to provide movement data
Job Requirements:
- Awareness and knowledge of MAOS 145 (desirable)
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, self-starter, and proactive
- Good time management and communication skills
- IT literate and numerate
- Knowledge of Supply Chain IT systems (desirable)
- Experience working with core Engineering and Logistics teams, particularly in GEF or TMEC roles
- Security Clearance (SC) required
Additional Information:
- Contract position for 12+ months
- Full-time onsite role
- Working hours: 5 days per week (Mon-Fri) around core hours (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Mon-Thurs, 7:30 AM - 12 PM Fri)
- 37 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks
