This is an exciting opportunity for a tax-savvy professional to make an impact in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies.
  • Provide tax planning advice, including personal, corporate, and VAT matters.
  • Assist clients with complex tax compliance issues and queries.
  • Advise on tax-efficient strategies for businesses, including structuring, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the highest standard of service is maintained.
  • Keep up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and provide clients with relevant advice.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, audits, and management accounts as required.
  • Assist with business development activities and build strong client relationships.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in UK taxation, including personal, corporate, and VAT.
  • Proven ability to handle complex tax issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax software and accounting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a UK-based accounting firm is preferred.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with international tax matters is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
  • Strong network in the local business community.
