Company Overview:We working with a bespoke manufacturing organisation who is part of a renowned Dutch group specializing in the production of aluminum profiles. While being committed to sustainability they are continuing to grow, and is looking for a qualified Management Accountant to manage their finance team and oversee day-to-day financial operations.Role Overview:This role will report directly to the newly promoted Managing Director, previously the Finance Director, and will be responsible for managing the accounts team, producing management accounts, monitoring cash flow, VAT returns, and stock management. The successful candidate will partner with senior management to drive efficiency, profitability, and improvements in margins.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the finance team, overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions (2 FTEs).
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and business partnering reports.
  • Oversee cash flow management, including daily monitoring and weekly forecasts.
  • Manage year-end processes, external audits, and ensure accurate tax returns (VAT, PAYE, NI, Corporation Tax).
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve financial processes.
  • Monitor stock levels and support raw material planning.
  • Authorise vendor payments and customer credit limits.
  • Prepare and review payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and a proven track record of leading a small finance team would be an advantage. 
  • Strong understanding of management accounts and year-end statutory processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferably with Power BI) and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills, particularly when liaising with directors.
