We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Management Accountant to join our SME client in North Leicestershire. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a vital role in managing the finance function for the business, providing insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making to drive the growth of the business.

Key responsibilitiesPrepare and present accurate management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.Work closely with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.Monitor and manage the business's financial performance, ensuring it aligns with the company's goals.Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including month-end processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis.Provide financial insight to senior management to support business planning and decision-making.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Key RequirementsACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within an SME.Strong analytical skills.Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience collaborating with cross-functional departments.
