SF Recruitment are currently supporting an exciting business in their search for an Assistant Accountant. Our client is based in Loughborough with free on-site parking. As the Assistant Accountant you will be a key part of the Finance Team working closely with the Management Accountants whilst reporting to the Group Financial Accountant. This role would suit an individual with experience in a similar role who aspires of progressing into a Management Accountant role. Alongside excellent progressional opportunities our client offers study support.
The ideal Assistant Accountant will be AAT Level 3 qualified and will have Sage accounting system experience.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
- Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments, bad debts, rebates etc.
- Preparing financial statements and annual budgets
- Making sure spending is in line with budgets
- Fixed asset postings and monthly analysis against budget
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Credit control and purchase ledger support
- Analysing your company's financial performance and making longer term forecasts
- Recommending ways of cutting costs
- Providing information for audits and external reporting
- Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions, including branch system process guidance and Group companies financial procedures.
This is an office based role.
