You will be responsible for the following:
• Develop and execute testing strategies and documentation, including Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Tests on Completion, and Performance Tests.
• Plan and conduct on-site testing, both internally and in customer-witnessed scenarios.
• Ensure delivered systems meet ‘as sold’ specifications and align with customer needs. Escalate any identified gaps to the Lead System Integration Manager (SIM).
• Validate safety systems, material flow, and messaging between PLC and WMS/WCS systems.
• Own and manage the testing issue ‘punch list’ using tools like Jira, including prioritising, resolving, and escalating issues.
• Work closely with stakeholders to re-test and confirm defect resolution.
• Conduct volume and stress testing to identify inconsistencies or stoppages in system flow.
• Provide regular updates to the Lead SIM and Project Manager on testing progress and key issues.
• Support rescheduling of test activities and supply data for progress reporting and dashboards.
• Act as a point of contact for customer testing requirements and material or labour coordination.
• Foster positive customer relationships through proactive communication and professional execution.

The candidate must possess the following skills to be considered for this role:
• Previous experience as a Test Manager or Commissioning Engineer in automation or material handling systems.
• Strong background in automation systems with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning and testing conveyor systems, cranes, or shuttle-based systems (TMS or similar).
• Familiarity with PLC systems, including messaging validation between PLC, WMS/WCS, and SCADA visualisation tools.
• Proven track record of identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system defects during commissioning or testing phases.
• Experience with volume and stress testing, analysing bottlenecks, and ensuring consistent material flow.
• Proficiency in data analysis using Excel for verification and reporting.
• Understanding of safety systems and controls.
• CSCS/ECS cards required for on-site work
