Our client based in Loughborough is experiencing continuing growth and as part of their strategy, they are looking for a suitably qualified or experienced Laboratory Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.  You would be required to undertake QC control and compliance testing of our products, as well as product development, evaluation and certification work.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Have an enquiring mind and an eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, committed, and able to contribute quickly
  • Accurate, with a strong attention to detail
  • A background in science and maths, or a degree in a related field
  • Previous experience as a lab technician in an industrial/materials-based environment is advantageous

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Perform product testing, including rate of set, colour accuracy, Cr(VI) assay
  • Support production by carrying out routine QC testing
  • Record and maintain data of QC-tested manufactured products
  • Prepare and manage retained samples and storage
  • Carry out routine maintenance and calibrations of testing equipment and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Analyse complaints by testing returned samples and reviewing original results
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards in the lab

Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £24,000 - £27,000

37 Hours Per Week
