We are seeking a highly driven and motivated NPD Technician/Technologist to join our clients' dynamic New Product Development team.

The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and development of new and existing recipes, support product trials, and contribute to research initiatives.

This role requires a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the NPD Manager to develop and refine new and existing recipes.
Assist in sourcing and procuring high-quality ingredients for both new and existing product concepts.
Conduct research and development on products and raw materials to drive innovation and process improvements.
Support the scaling up of kitchen recipes for factory trials, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to production.
Undertake competitor benchmarking and market analysis to inform product development decisions.
Organise and participate in product tasting sessions, ensuring accurate recording of feedback.
Manage and coordinate all sample requests for customer Innovation presentations.
Store and document samples from production trials for shelf-life analysis.
Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed and maintained for new product creation and development.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide NPD handovers at various project stages.

Qualifications, Background, and Experience:
Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent level of education).
Minimum of two years' of experience in the food industry (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Salary range £28k-£35k plus company benefits.

Working Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 7:00/8.00 AM - 4:00/5:00 PM
