Exciting Opportunity for HGV Class 2 Driver with Highways Experience in Leicester
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HGV Class 2 Driver with highways experience to join my client's operations team in Leicester. This role involves undertaking safe and timely deliveries of materials and equipment, supporting essential highway maintenance and infrastructure projects across the region.
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be a key part of the on-the-ground team, ensuring efficient logistics and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires reliability, a strong awareness of road safety, and a proactive attitude to supporting field operations.
The main duties of the HGV Class 2 Driver are:
路Operate a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries and collections, including highways materials and tools.
路Ensure all loads are correctly secured and handled safely.
路Carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance tasks.
路Adhere to legal requirements and follow company and client procedures at all times.
路Support the team with equipment deliveries to live worksites.
路Maintain delivery records and communicate clearly with dispatch and site teams.
The HGV Class 2 Driver will have key experience in:
路A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph.
路Previous experience in highways or construction-related deliveries.
路A good understanding of transport legislation and site safety requirements.
路The ability to work independently with strong time-management skills.
路Good communication and customer service skills.
路Flexibility to support out-of-hours work when required.
