LoughboroughAre you a CAD Designer with experience in SolidWorks, looking for a varied and exciting role within a newly established specialist company who offer the chance to work on bespoke and challenging projects?The company specialises in noise control solutions for the industrial and power sectors across the UK. They design, manufacture, and deliver high-quality acoustic solutions, offering full-service support. With steady growth and a loyal client base, they are now expanding their team to meet their goals of continued expansion.

In this role, you will be tasked with developing accurate and innovative 3D models, designs, and drawings in SolidWorks for various projects, such as fan and Gas Turbine noise control solutions. You'll work closely with the sales team and clients to transform concept designs into detailed CAD models and technical drawings, while effectively managing project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.This role would suit a CAD Designer with a Manufacturing / Industrial background looking for a role within a specialist noise solution company. And would relish the opportunity to make your mark and become part of a rapidly growing business.The Role:

  • Utilise SolidWorks software to create detailed 3D models and drawings for mechanical and structural projects
  • Collaborate with sales and the client to develop concept designs and translate into precise CAD models and technical drawings
  • Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications to enhance the functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics of the designs
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications
  • Provide technical support and expertise to colleagues and team members
  • Monday - Thursday (7:30am-4:30pm) Friday (7:30am-12:30pm)

The Person:

  • CAD Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
