Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (BESS)

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) . In this role, you will be responsible for designing and engineering BESS units ranging from 45kW - 150kWh, ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer BESS units, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Develop electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and system layouts for new energy storage projects.
- Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating BESS with systems such as Solar Energy Frames and Stage V Generators.
- Oversee prototype development, including component selection, assembly, and testing.
- Prepare technical documentation, including product specifications and test reports.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in battery storage solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing BESS or similar electrical storage systems.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of battery technologies, inverter systems, and electrical control systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and supplier evaluations.
Work Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
Friday: 8am - 2:30pm
Flexibility to work outside regular hours may be required.
