This role involves a mix of hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting electrical systems, and offering technical support via a help desk when required. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.Key Responsibilities:* Conduct maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems in rolling stock and associated equipment.* Provide technical support remotely via a help desk, assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting.* Travel to various depots nationwide to support maintenance teams and resolve technical issues.* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and electronic systems.* Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and depot teams to ensure efficient service delivery.* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry regulations.* Maintain accurate records of work completed and report on technical issues.Requirements:* Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent).* Experience working on rolling stock, heavy plant, or industrial electrical systems.* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in electrical and electronic systems.* Ability to travel nationwide as required.* Full UK driving licence (Company van provided).* Comfortable working 4 on / 4 off shifts, including nights and weekends.* Strong communication and customer service skills, both in-person and via help desk support.Benefits:* £40,000 per annum salary.* Company van and fuel card provided.* Training and career development opportunities.* Pension scheme and company benefits package.If you're an experienced electrical engineer looking for a field-based role with variety and nationwide travel, apply today!
