As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical machinery in a busy recycling facility. Your role will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of compactors, balers, conveyors, and more, with a focus on electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis. You’ll be part of a dedicated engineering team committed to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on recycling equipment, including compactors, balers, forklifts, and conveyors.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults and systems.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain production schedules.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial or recycling environment.
  • Strong electrical background (City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Experience with PLCs, inverters, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
