The Role:
We are working with a specialist all-through school in the Leicestershire/Loughborough (LE12) area that supports pupils aged 4-16. This inclusive setting offers a nurturing, structured learning environment for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with children across various key stages, offering tailored interventions and positive guidance to help them manage their behaviour, build confidence and re-engage with their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
  • Supporting children in developing self-regulation and conflict-resolution strategies
  • Building trusting, respectful relationships with pupils to help them feel valued and understood
  • Assisting the wider staff team in maintaining a calm, consistent environment
  • Helping to implement personalised behaviour and support plans
  • Encouraging positive choices and promoting emotional wellbeing throughout the school day

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing, child-focused approach
