Title:Â Despatch Operative
Salary:Â Dependent on experienceÂ
Working hours:Â Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm and Friday 7:00am - Midday
Location:Â Loughborough, Leicestershire
VH Talent, is delighted to be supporting our client, a leading manufacturing facility to appoint a Despatch Operative. The successful applicant, will play an instrumental role in ensuring all parts/products are packaged in accordance to specification, all relevant documentation is completed and shipped within a timely manner.

The Despatch Operative Role:
- Attend team briefs/meetings to ensure fully aware of all daily objectives and department targets
- Manage and oversee all shipping/packing process documents
- Accurately package a variety of parts in accordance to guidelines
- Use ERP system to assist with stock control management
- Operate shipping software supplied by external couriers
- Moving stock around the shop floor
- Operate machinery used to bag and seal stock and ensure adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures/policies
- Ensure working towards Continuous Improvement
You’ll Need:
- A proactive and ‘Can Do’ approach
- Previous experience of operating in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be highly advantageous
- Able to follow instructions and use initiative to drive tasks to completion
- Has attention to detail and accuracy in the work carried out
- Due to the nature of the work, manual handling will be required at times
- Good problem solving skills
- IT Literate as some computer use will be required at times. Would be advantageous to have experience in ERP or Shipping systems.
- Experience of operating within a Continuous Improvement environment is desirable
