Hygiene Supervisor

Location: Leicestershire
Shift Pattern: Nightshift (will disclose shifts on further communication)

The Role

I am recruiting on behalf of a hugely successful business in Leicestershire who are looking for a Hygiene Supervisor. The main part of this role is to lead a team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Hygiene Team adheres to hygiene processes and COSHH regulations.
  • Oversee and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to meet required standards.
  • Monitor the condition of equipment, tools, and PPE, reporting any issues.
  • Promote a strong Health and Safety culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement in hygiene processes.
  • Train and develop team members, addressing any skill gaps.
  • Liaise with external labour providers, providing performance feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Participate in audits and high-profile visits.
  • Step in for management when required.

Please note- this role includes physical and manual work; you’ll be on your feet a lot!

  • A good understanding of Food Safety, Health and Safety, and COSHH.
  • Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
