Summary
The superintendent pharmacist will be responsible for the professional and clinical management of a pharmacy and the administration of the sale and supply of medicines. You will lead a team within CB1 and will ensure compliance of standard operating procedures and up-to-date training is maintained for staff.
Contract :
Salary - depending upon experience ( 45, 000 to 48,000 start)
Mon-Fri 9am-6pm

Key responsibilities
Meet the standards set out by GPhC for superintendent pharmacists.
Work with the pharmacy manager, to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations within the pharmacy.
Ensuring the pharmacy meets the governance and compliance expectations set out by GPhC to pass inspection.
Work alongside CB1 Medical in an advisory role to ensure smooth operation and ensure the end user is receiving exceptional service.
Maintain the role of the responsible pharmacist from time to time as per Gphc requirement.
The delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring compliance with statutory and professional requirements of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Standards for Pharmacy Professionals
- To document, maintain and communicate effective, efficient safe working practices and standard operating procedures as required by the GPhC
- Provide clinical and professional leadership to all pharmacy staff.
- To monitor, assess and oversee the training and competencies of pharmacy staff in accordance with the Code of Ethics and requirements of the GPhC
- To ensure the Pharmacy Record is always maintained and in accordance with the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Responsible Pharmacist) Regulations 2008
- To ensure that prescription records are maintained in accordance with GPhC and legal requirements.
- To store medical cannabis in appropriate conditions and procedures are in place for safe disposal of returned or expired medicines.
- To oversee and manage all medical cannabis products including the principles outlined in the DH publication The Safer Management of Controlled Drugs and to maintain accurate record-keeping and registration.
- To contribute to the efficient running and profitability of the pharmacy by monitoring and auditing medicines expenditure and by introducing new or revised working practices for all aspects of purchasing and the safe management of medicines
- To maintain running balance and ensure accountability of all medical cannabis products entering and leaving the dispensary.
Duties

??Reviewing prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy and suitability for the patient, including the dosage, ingredients required, and correctly and safely labelled.
Maintaining a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purpose
Identifying potential interactions between drugs and providing information to the patient
Ordering stock and ensuring that it is kept in appropriate conditions.
maintaining accurate pharmacy records, patient profiles, charge system files, and inventories
maintaining stock and storing and handling it correctly
Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction to patients if need be.
Ensuring the medication has been sent off smoothly for delivery with a 24-hour tracked service
Ensure pharmacy compliance with ethical, professional, and legal pharmacy standards to ensure that every customer and patient receives a safe, accurate and efficient service.
Take responsibility to ensure that your pharmacy maintains high professional standards, both dispensing Cannabis Bases medicinal products
Deal with customer and patient complaints effectively and efficiently
Prepare branch for the professional standard audits when required .
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- ??Be a qualified Pharmacist and registered with the GPhC
- Excellent communication skills

Dual Site Working
The post holder may be required to work at other sites when required
