WRG are supporting an independent construction & engineering consultancy which has been established for 40 years, the business offers a range of professional services to their diverse client base across the property & construction sector on a regional and national basis.

They are recruiting for a Senior H&S/ CDM Consultant to join the business out of their offices in Leicester. The successful candidate will work closely with the company Directors and be expected to manage a portfolio clients across the built environment and would deliver a H&S/ CDM service for their projects.

The business operates across multiple sectors and the H&S/ CDM department predominantly delivers on residential, commercial, regeneration, education, leisure, public sector and care homes. .

The role would suit an ambitious H&S/ CDM professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
  • Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
  • Design risk management and liaison with design teams to identify key hazards.
  • Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
  • Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.
  • Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
  • Good understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Knowledge around the Building Safety Act (BSA) and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
