As a SENCo Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they can thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalized support plans for children with special educational needs.
* Provide individual and group support to children, fostering a positive learning environment.
* Assist in adapting activities to meet each child's unique needs, focusing on early years development goals.
* Support social and emotional development, promoting a sense of inclusion and well-being in the classroom.
* Monitor and document children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCo team.
* Encourage positive behavior and help children build essential life skills.
Requirements:
* Experience working in an EYFS or Reception setting, particularly with children who have SEN.
* Understanding of the EYFS framework and commitment to early years education.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting young children with varying needs.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
