My client is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join them on a Permanent Basis.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the grounds and amenity areas ensuring that it always looks at its best throughout the year.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the grounds to include, but not exclusive to, cutting and mowing grass, border maintenance, strimming, weeding, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, jet washing, maintenance of ponds and water features, leaf/debris clearing, litter picking, painting
- Watering grass, planter’s and flower beds
- Weed Control
- Advising on horticulture, gardening requirements along with goods or services required in a timely manner
- Responsible for all tools and grounds powered equipment, ensuring basic maintenance is carried out and documented in accordance with company policy
- Reporting grounds maintenance issues to Line Manager
Hours of Work & Travel:
A full-time role of 40 hours per week worked between Monday and Friday, but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
Experience:
Essential:
- Previous ground maintenance, gardening experience
- Experience of using powered equipment and maintenance of this equipment
- Health & Safety knowledge
- PA1 & PA6 Spraying licence
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
- Garden or Horticultural qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Willing to work in all weathers
