IT Support Engineer- 6 months FTCOur rapidly growing engineering client is seeking a dynamic, hands-on and technically astute IT/Technical Support Engineer to provide 1st. 2nd and some 3rd Line desktop support also well as maintain, configure and troubleshoot other IT related issues, including hardware, software, networks and pcs/laptops.As IT and Technical Support Engineer, you will provide desk-side support to end-users, addressing questions, problems and tasks related to systems software and hardware.Other duties will include:
  • Provides technical support of the installation and upgrade of personal computer hardware and software and server maintenance.
  • Supports the Desktop Engineering and End Point Compliance initiatives completing activities and tasks as assigned.
  • Building and configuring new laptops and PCs
  • Works with IT site leaders and takes guidance and direction to execute IT tasks.
  • Work on the implementation of strategies, which will include Active Directory (AD), Backup Solutions, printing solutions, mobile devices, network strategies, storage and compute, Disaster Recovery, etc.
  • Building
  • Create user documentation and develop training materials
  • Comply with legal and local regulatory rules (e.g., software licensing, confidentiality of employee records); ensures adherence to requirements; and advises management on needed actions. Learn and comply with procedures for proper utilization of IT technology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
  • Technical skills and experience required
  • Document incidents using IT Service Desk ITSM Toolset tracking systems
  • Support, configure, troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good knowledge and working experience of Office 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint
  • Network patching
  • Knowledge of routing and switching
  • Previous experience of Desktop / desk-side support
  • Diagnose, fault-finding and resolve hardware issues
