Are you an experienced Import Co-Ordinator with a passion for logistics and operational excellence?

If so, our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and executing import strategies, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods, and building strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Description of the role:

  • Develop and execute import strategies to optimise logistics efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for timely deliveries.
  • Manage import documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Secure competitive freight forwarding contracts to gain favourable terms.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and proactively address any issues that arise.
  • Evaluate and select transportation methods based on cost, speed, and reliability.
  • Regularly communicate with internal teams and external partners, including the external sales team, customer service department, and merchants.
  • Report on KPIs and personal objectives monthly.

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of import processes for Europe and India.
  • Proven relationships with freight forwarding markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in IT systems (Microsoft Word & Excel).
