PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN 30,000 - 35,000 Plus Benefits
The Company
My client is a renowned UK contract electronics manufacturing company that offers offer a variety of integrated design and production services tailored to meet the specific needs of its customers. Services include Design, NPI & NPD, Production, Testing and Assembly.
They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Technician to liaise and support the Production and Engineering teams on successful product delivery.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Technician will be hands-on and play an integral role in the completion of both existing and new projects to support NPI & NPD. This will also include:
- Following electrical diagrams / schematics for correct installation of components
- Operating and maintaining soldering machines
- Populating, soldering and conformal coating PCBs
- Inspection to Customer specification and IPC Standards
- Testing assemblies and products
- Training other members of staff
- Completing all required documentation
- Maintaining and promoting good housekeeping
- Adherence to all relevant policies and procedures
- Clear and concise communication with other members of the team
The Individual
The ideal Production Technician will have a minimum of 5years experience of a similar role (preferably gained within a Manufacturing environment).
You will also have:
- Experience in the assembly of electronic PCBs and sub-assemblies
- Experience in the use of soldering machines
- Experience of working to the required quality standards
- Experience in conformal coating / encapsulation of PCB's and assemblies
- The motivation to ensure excellent quality standards
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- The ability to meet deadlines and take initiative
- The ability to work to multiple performance standards such as: BS EN 9001 / ISO 13485 / IPC 620 CIS would be advantageous
