Due to significant growth, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Plater to join our team.Key Responsibilities:* Cut, shape, and assemble steel plate components with precision.* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications. * Utilize fabrication machines, including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters, to process materials.* Conduct visual inspections to ensure all work meets quality standards and aligns with technical drawings.* Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.* Participate in the development of templates and jigs for repetitive tasks to ensure consistent quality.* Be flexible to respond to emergency situations and unplanned repairs outside of normal working hours, including on-call duties and potential night shifts.Qualifications and Skills:* Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.* Proficiency in using fabrication equipment such as drilling machines, rolling machines, and guillotines.* Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.* Competence in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.* Experience working with steel metals and familiarity with various fabrication methods.* Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and prolonged periods of standing.Additional Information:* Working Hours: Full-time position, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.* Compensation: £16.00-£17.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.* Benefits: Company pension scheme, free on-site parking.If you are a dedicated Steel Plater seeking to contribute to a dynamic and growing company, we invite you to apply and join our team.Please ring Brad Bayliss on or email your CV to
