Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Administrator to join Charnwood Council's Democratic Services Department on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This role is working 30 hours per week.

Key Duties

  • Provide administrative and general support(including highly sensitive and confidential work) to the Head of Service, including diary management, arranging meetings, updating records and producing correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain relevant web and intranet information.
  • Co-ordinate and book training sessions and events for senior managers relating predominately to Resilience but may include other appropriate training
  • Undertake work ancillary to the business dealt with by committees, sub-committees, partnerships and working groups without supervision and undertaking related research.
  • Assist with administrative cover for the legal services team
  • Assist with compilation, publication and maintenance of the Electoral Register including the Absent Voters lists, in accordance with current regulations.
  • To assist with the maintenance of the electoral registration database, including data from applications and administering changes to records.
  • Assist with the organisation and arrangements for all work necessary to ensure the proper conduct of Borough, Parish, County, Police & Crime Commissioner, UK Parliamentary Elections, and all referendums.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents and stationery required for proceedings at all electoral events, including but not limited to Ballot Boxes, Poll Cards and opening of Postal Votes.
