Temporary Payroller        Loughborough

£14 to £17 per hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroller on a temporary basis for c. 3 months, whilst a permanent person is recruited.

Our client would consider candidates on a full time or part time basis, with a focus purely on the payroll tasks.

Potential for permanent role.

Main Duties would include:

  • Process monthly payrolls according to deadlines. 
    • Our client has two payrolls per month, one for monthly salaried staff and one for weekly staff.
  • Ensure all payroll data is collected and processed accurately and on-time
  • Adjust and correct payroll errors and answer queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure correct payroll on-boarding of new starters and off-boarding following resignations
  • Process all deductions to include SSP, Tax, NI, pension, childcare vouchers etc
  • Work closely with the wider finance and HR departments to support where needed, including:
    • To ensure appropriate HMRC, Pension and Health Sheild payments are made to suppliers
    • To ensure payment of  Expense claims

Desirable

  • Willingness to contribute to broader finance processing tasks such as the processing of invoices and purchase orders for finance year end.

Ideal experience

  • Experience within a fast-paced payroll environment essential
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Knowledge and experience of Sage Payroll desirable
  • Great communications skills to relay key information to other staff
  • Potential hybrid working for 1-2 days per week working from home.
