Payroll Administrator | Loughborough | 6-Month FTC | Up to £28,000

About the Role:We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Payroll Administrator to join a well-established organisation based in Loughborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in processing monthly payrolls for a large, diverse workforce. You will be employed on a 6 to 9-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension, and work within a supportive and collaborative team. You'll be responsible for managing all payroll elements and ensuring timely and accurate processing while delivering excellent service to employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Administer all payroll elements, including starters, leavers, court orders, and downloading hours from the roster system for a large and varied workforce.
  • Data Management: Ensure payroll data is accurate and complete, checking all information before processing.
  • Payroll Queries: Act as the first point of contact for colleagues and management, providing clear and concise responses to payroll-related queries.
  • Site Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned sites, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any payroll issues.
  • Cover for Absences: Provide support for other payroll administrators in their absence, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct exception checks and peer-to-peer audits to maintain accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Assist with producing monthly payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

  • Payroll Administration Experience: Previous payroll administration experience is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong administrative background will also be considered.
