This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners by providing tailored support to help each child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalized support to students with SEND, creating a nurturing environment for their learning.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
* Monitor and report on students' progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
* Work closely with the SENDCo, educational psychologists, and other professionals to ensure high-quality, inclusive education.
* Provide guidance and training to teaching staff on effective SEND strategies.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 in a relevant field (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEND Education).
* Experience: Proven experience working with SEND students in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
* Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to adapt and respond to individual needs; excellent organizational abilities.
* Knowledge: Understanding of SEND legislation and best practices in supporting primary-aged students with additional needs.
