Are you an experienced PCB Design Engineer who is looking to join a world leading renewable energy R & D company, focusing on an existing aerospace and aviation project founded by the government, based on Loughborough?

The exciting opportunity is at a Midlands (easy commute from Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham) based R & D company who are pioneering a new fuel cell technology which is in pole position to replace the current alkaline fuel-cell technology. The company are at the very forefront of the Renewable Energy Sector.

Due to a period of sustained growth, they are looking for a PCB Design Engineer with experience of designing high reliability, multi-layer power, and analogue and digital PCBs to join their multi-skilled R&D team, where you will be involved with the development of products for use in applications ranging from small portable power devices to motive and industrial power systems.

As the PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing a range of complex electronics based products. You will also be involved in researching and prototyping new technologies and methods to improve customer workflows.

The ideal candidate for this PCB Design Engineer job will have:

  • Strong experience in multi-layered PCB design.
  • Previous experience in using Altium designer would be ideal, but any packages considered.
  • Exposure to PCB assembly build packs including: Bill of Materials (BOMs), Fit-lists, Pick and Place files, assembly drawings, etc.
  • An understanding of electronic engineering / circuit design.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team.
