Service Hands - LoughboroughOur client, a leading partner for contract packing services in the UK, is looking to expand their team with dedicated and motivated Service Hands at their Loughborough location.Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM30-minute unpaid breakPay Rates:£12.26 per hourPaid holiday on your birthday after completing 12 weeks of continuous employmentThere is a requirement to work overtime when necessary. Varying shift patterns may apply at certain times of the year. Shift patterns are determined upon demand of business flexibility and the ability to work overtime is essential. Experience:Experience working within a fast-moving warehouse environment is desirable.. Qualifications: No essential qualifications requiredSkills:To have a good level of numeracy and literacy desirable. Job requires the ability to plan ahead in a rapidly changing environment. To work with colleagues to ensure continuity of work for packing operatives. To have the ability to manage space to ensure individual and departmental targets are achieved. To have the ability to communicate at all levels. Teamwork, equipment maintenance and dependability are all necessary skills.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo communicate with warehouse managers, supervisors, warehouse operatives and other service hands where applicable to ensure component product is prepared and available in the designated area for each contract to efficiently commence. To effectively manage all completed stock and component residue in the correct manner.To store all products and packaging in a sensible fashion ensuring that all space is managed both safely and effectively via the warehouse team. To assist the warehouse team where applicable using available plant machinery in which the operative has been trained.To provide continual co-operation and motivation to all staff to optimise performance and to maintain a good working atmosphere within the department.To provide support to the Director of Contract Packing, Supervisors and warehouse managers in the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings internal and external structure enabling it to be kept to an acceptable Health and Safety standard.To work in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and company's policies and procedures.To carry out any other duties deemed appropriate which may arise within the development of the Company.If you believe this role is right for you please submit your CV or call/send a text .
